MAGICIAN & MENTALIST
There’s no doubt you will be fascinated by what you see, some of you will be freaked out!
“As a magician my job is to make you believe ... believe that nothing is impossible; to help you believe that there is more to the universe than we know or realize. I create mind bending illusions that disturb your perception of reality.”
Magic defies the laws of physics. “As a Magician I make things appear and disappear, vanish and reappear; cause things to change right before your eyes or levitate or defy the laws of physics. I use ropes and rings and magic things, props and gimmicks that appear to break the laws of physics. I use the art of misdirection and sleight of hand to create wonder and amazement for fun and entertainment.
Mentalism, on the other hand, is basically Magic with a mental flavor. “My mentalism messes with your mind more than with things. Mentalism defies the laws of privacy. By this I mean, I get into your head, I know what you’re thinking, or somehow control what you're thinking by putting thoughts into your head.” Mentalism is truly “Magic of the Mind”.
"I’m not some kind of spooky psychic or creepy palm reader, or scary fortune teller. I am not a witch, a warlock or a wizard … basically, I am an entertainer and the mentalism is just an act." Mentalism is a mixture of magic, illusions, and sleight of hand. It is the observation of body langue, awareness of normal human behavior and playing mental mind games.

FAQs and Answers
Q: What kind of shows do you do?
A: I have several shows and types of entertainment that I offer. My performance changes as the venue changes. I customize my act to fit the audience, whether providing an entertaining Keynote address, comedy magic or mentalism stage show or as Emcee for corporate events, clubs, schools, or smaller parlor shows and private parties.
Q: How far do you travel?
A: I am based in the Des Moines, Iowa area but there are no traveling restrictions for my shows.
Q: How far in advance should I contact you?
A: As soon as you know the date of your event, you should call. I can tentatively put you in my calendar with no commitments. If someone else calls for the same date, I will contact you before giving the date away.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: It depends on several factors; the act I'll be performing, the length of the performance, the size of the audience, staging and sound system requirements and travel expenses. My base fee for larger stage shows is $300-1,000 & up; smaller private parlor performances are $150 – 300. Please contact me and I will tailor your event to be exactly what you want.
Q: Do you send a contract?
A: Yes, also required are dates and times; the specific act and staging information with introduction detail.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes, typically twenty percent of the total fee.
Q: Do you ever donate shows or give discounts to non-profit organizations?
A: Occasionally, but there are several things that I consider - the type of function, event date, media coverage, etc. At times, I do offer promotional discounts to certain groups or organizations.
